Announcing: The 2007 Stock Assessment for the gulf Menhaden is available from NOAA as published in Fisheries Research. The latest assessment by Dr. Doug Vaughan and colleagues indicate that the gulf menhaden fishery is indeed healthy and not overfished nor in an overfished state.
